Still Blowin’ In The Wind

Will it go on

being the case

that, we,

untouched by

gunfire, bombings, hunger, disease,

must be shocked to the daily reality

of the Syrian people?

Does our disgust, horror, empathy

in response to these daily tragedies

last only till the next headline?

How many

tragic images of children

will it take?

As in the past,

the answer appears to be still

blowin’ in the wind
