We Must Be Their Succour

Our world constantly on a screen

Thus we cannot deny the screams

Images presented to prick our souls

Of those with hollow food bowls

We cannot allow these lives so desperately hard

To slip beneath the canopy of disregard

Such pathetic limbs and sunken eyes

Must inflate our spirits to empathize

For they cannot save themselves

From what is ordained by the world

As hard as it maybe for us to see

Ever so much harder for them to be
