Our Whirling Rock

The minutiae of each day

can all consume,

eat up our goodwill,

sap our energy

Falling into bed exhausted

from the whirl

of emotions, words and acts

If we could zoom out,

perspective is refined

The perceived loaf is reduced

to mere crumbs,

Individuals

can’t be seen

It is the whole

that looms large

Our home, our planet

asserts its significance
