Two Flowers

Image result for two flowers on a stem

To be born a sister gives its own joy
No matter if in between, there are boys
To have a sister is to have a gem
Two flowers on the same plant stem.

To grow up sharing more than a bedroom,
Pieces clicked together, notes in a tune.
Life’s road can be short, dare to carpe diem
We, two flowers, on the same plant stem.

Time’s ballbearing rolls with graphite ease
Minutes, hours, days slip by in life’s tease
A parody of being in which we are condemned,
We, two flowers, on the same plant stem.
