Death By Plastic

The scourge that floats

with rhythmic currents,

balloons rise and fall

in adagio time

Hard pieces

in a multi-coloured cascade,

confetti, to rest

on rocks, reefs, sand

This watery landscape

tainted by plastic fragments

Land polluters leach

Their waste into the sea

It would be apt

for I

to beach upon their home

and vomit back

their rubbish

in a spume of toxins
