Crossing

Jimmy Wong: U-Bein bridge, Mandalay, Burma. U Bein Bridge, Amarapura, Myanmar. Locals crossing the longest teakwood bridge in the world (1.2 km). Shooting from the bank, the boat adds to the sense of perspective on how long the bridge actually is.

Like an aqueduct,

wooden bridge stretched

from bank to bank

A pedestrian conduit

in this quiet land

Smooth water,

sunlit day,

daily routine

captured in a frame

of bucolic life
