Hide and Seek

(with apologies to Walter de la Mare)

Hide and seek, suggest the Wind,

Amongst the limbs of shivering trees

Hide and seek, states the Moon,

As it claims night skies by degrees

Hide and seek, suggests the Shade,

As it skims across the scene

Hide and seek, says the Earth,

As its casts its quilt of green

Hide and seek, utters the Waves,

As they race to the shore

Hide and seek, dictates the Sun,

For whom we must all adore
